As I understand it the best way to help is to kill those suicidal dive bombers. Don't just put em back in the water. Kill it then put it back. Stab the thing and let it become turtle food. Here's a good way if traveling with a buddy. Might get a couple of odd looks from the summertime pleasure boaters, but the fisherman would retake the lakes again....lol

Killinmg em is the answer, but how many can you kill? Its like swatting flys.Right now there is an issue in the supreme court about those fish, dont know exactly whats it about, dont really care, like I said I'm 73 yrs old, what ever the out come I probably wont be around to either benefit or suffer from it. If they get into the great lakes, in a number of years they will wipe out the native fish. Whats to stop them from gaining access to the TN river or the cumberland river? Commercial fishing could control them, but there is no marketing of them. These things jump like a tarpon, get to be good size, they even might have some sporting value.

They are already in KY lake and Lake Barkely which means they are in the TN and Cumberland Rivers.

I have posted on here before about this topic, but I had a 4-foot long one of these asian carp jump next to my boat while fishing in 3 feet of water along the bank of the Little Kentucky River in 2004. Scared the crap out of me.

Calm limp rod, calm. You can rest assured no transgressions against me will go unattended. I'm sure it ended up turtle food with it's brains leaking out of its soft skull and lower jaw ripped off. It was really sort of a pretty picture, crimson on chrome, swirling around concentric rings of black and gold.

I think if we adopted this method and allowed one dispenser per fishing boat we may have a chance of reducing the population.

The bow fishing clip gave me an idea for a new sport, using no lead shot, this would be a great way to keep up those reflexs for bird hunting. heck you could even make a tournament out of it, kind of a cross between trap shooting and fishing. a couple of boxes of small game load per man, bring the tail fins for talley and there you go.

I like it! But, does this mean our life jackets would have to made of Kevlar? I ask cause I fish with a freind of mine and evertime he casts, I have to run for cover or hit the deck as a matter or self-preservation.

OMG, this means shot gun shells would become fishing tackle at Walmart!
