Re: New to KY. Looking for fishing locations.

Thank you all very much. I have been doing more research and am just waiting for it to warm up a few degrees. Thanks again!

Re: New to KY. Looking for fishing locations.

What do you want to fish for?

I fish the KY river regularly but I am a novice so I can't give to much advice.

The Dix river is a trout stream past a prominate sign they have there. Past that sign you have to have a trout stamp but I wouldn't bother since your boat is to big to get up there.

I have seen and been told that below the locks are good for sauger, walleye, etc (drum). Go to the Corps of Engineers website for waterlevels before heading out in the winter though.
Watch for floating logs, trees, trash, etc in the river. I would not travel WOT in that river ever.

PM me if you want to know where to catch 30 lb catfish.
    tight lines.
