Question Places to buy Jig Heads/Weights Locally

Anyone out there know of place i can get a good deal on weights and jig heads locally? I'm tired of dumping all my fishing expenses into Bass Pro's pockets. I would like to find someone who pours their own leads and buy from them.

I am thinking about buying a setup to start pouring my own stuff, and would like to see the process as well discuss the pro's & con's.

I live in Louisville, I also work i Bowling Green in the spring/summer and would be willing to travel a good ways

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

Depends on what type of weights or jig heads you are looking for. Renegade Marine in Litchfield and Ranger bobs down by Barren river lake sells different jigs and weights. There are a few other shops in the louisville area such as Pepper tackle. I make my own jigs. The process is not difficult if you get into it yourself. Let me know what oyu are looking for and maybe I can help you out.

i make my own jigs to and zx150 helped me out. it is not hard and you would not belive how much money you save. i was using the berkley ike jigs and really like theme but they are $6.00 for one and that was getting to exspensive. so i started making the same type jig the only thing different is the head and it is pretty close to the same. and i can make one for i think it was around $1.00 or $1.25 a jig and i cought my biggest small mouth on one of my jigs i made and that is a good feeling i also pour my own shakey heads and they are like the strike king shakey heads that are like $5.00 for 3 or 4 in a pack man you save so much money it is un real. and barlows bait and tackle on line has good deals on all the stuff you need.

I make my own jigs and it is easy and u can make colors that u like. It is not very expensive to get started. I have 5 different molds with several diffrent sizes and styles. I have even modified my molds to make my jigs a little different. Try Jann's netcraft, barlows, and tackle parts( formely Stamina Inc.)

Check your scrap yards it is the best price around. You may have to clean it but it will pour it very good once you get it done.
