    Vote Incumbants Out

Over the last several months I have seen several political posts recommending that in 2010 (this year) we vote all of the incumbants out of office. This sounds good to me but I am curious about something: How likely are you to actually vote in the Primary and General elections this year?

How many of you voted in the PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS in 2008?
(I am not asking, and don't want to know, who you voted for, just if you voted)

I voted in both the Primary and General elections in 2008. I will definately vote in both elections this year.

Grumpy I always vote. I think that as I have stated before that we do not need to make this a Dem or Pepub issue that we need to vote for the best person.

A few years back I was in a McDonald's and a man was talking to others about the election and he said "I don't care who you vote for as long as it is for a Democrat". I can not understand that mentality. There is good and bad in both parties.

I do not see how anyone of us could say that every dem or every repub is the best for Office. Let's weed out the bad!

I always vote Grumpy. I am not against incubments as much as I am against career politicians. I do think there need to be term limits imposed. I don't think the founding fathers ever meant for someone's career to be politician.

The only problem I see is that after a couple terms they are all bad, they all bow down to the corrupt money taking scam that our leaders pull on us.How else can you explain Lobbyists? Selling our country/jobs out to China and several 3rd world excuses for countries so they can line their pockets, raising their own pay at every opportunity, forcing socialized healthcare on Americans when a majority does not want it,The whole rats den needs to be run out of Washington.

This was not intended to be used to bash politician--I wanted to see how many people intend to vote. If you want to bash them, start your own thread.

There is corruption and dirty politicans in every country in the world. I am naive enough to think that there are good decent ones also that take their job seriously and want to make positive changes. I vote every election for sure and I agree that we all need to pay more attention to our politicans and weed out the bad ones!

I always vote, for everything from local to Federal. The problem is everytime I vote for a candidate that wins, I end up hating them within a year. They always end up being just another politician with empty words ,short of action, or action that serves their interrest only. Many times ive considered not voting because they all end up being worthless. Its discouraging.......................Greg

Always vote in the elections. I'm registered independant, so I believe that means I cannot vote in a primary.

I always vote! I won't miss, too many good men and women put their life on the line and too many lost it for me to take it for granted. If you don't vote and don't have a good excuse like you just had a heartache than you should be flogged in public. If you don't like any body running at least wright in the person you think would do the best job. Ryan.

    I always vote!!!

I feel it gives me the right to stand up and say WhooRay, or this stinks about what is going on. If I didn't vote I wouldn't gripe because then I would have no right to gripe.

I vote in every election i can vote in...you can't complain if you don't vote...and by goodness i got a lot to complain about.... Osama's ( i mean Obama ) approval rating has now dropped below the 50% level, since he was elected to office.

Woot only 3 more years till this Community Organizer will leave office...unless something happens and he leaves office early for some unknown reason yet to be heard....out...

    Re: Vote Incumbants Out

I vote in every election also....but here is something I found on another site that describes career politicians to a tee:

A priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish.

A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a little speech at the dinner.
However, he was delayed, so the priest decided to say his own few words while they waited:
'' I got first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his sister.
    I was appalled.

But as the days went on I learned that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people.
    ''...

Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and gave his talk:

"I'll never forget the first day our parish priest arrived, " said the politician. ''In fact, I had the honor of being the first person to go to him for confession."
