Drove across the 31E Bridge over Barren River Lake this afternoon and it was frozen across on the downstream side of the bridge, but the river channel was still open on the upstream side. Too bad there are no usable ramps up there. The state park area was also frozen across. Also went down to the dam and there is open water around the islands and down to the dam, but I did not go to Baileys Point ramp so I do not know the conditions there. There was a truck pulling a jon boat across the dam and turning around at the Corps parking lot apparently looking for a place to launch. I did not see anyone fishing anywhere, but I am looking forward to warmer weather so that I can scratch that itch. Good fishing.
