Help needed in crappie fishing.

I am planning a trip to astor florida to do some crappie fishing with my daughter the 26th- 30th of december. I was hoping to get some information as to what and how to catch crappie on the st. john river at astor. I was there about 10 yrs ago and we trolled with small jigs and done very well. Is this the way to catch them still or has it changes. I could use some help. Thanks TR196

Too bad you didn't post this earlier. And YES I'd continue with "drifting around with jigs". Once you find the "Specks" then where out the area. Move again until you find another school.
