I don't know if I can put this in words that don't look like I'm a hood wearing member of some backwards organization or not but it's not the fault of the blacks, mexicans or whatever race of people that try to bend the political world to best suit their own lives ....White america is at fault for allowing these things to happen themselves ......The news jumps all over whatever is said that could be in any way construed as racist and the race that does the loudest screaming for somebody's head is the white race ...The end result is that everybody is scared to voice his real opinion and we end up with a president that doesn't seem to care much about the ideas this country was built on.I don't know how true this is or not...it's probably true I guess. For me it kind of reminds me of all white men in this country being afraid to say anything in general about blacks, mexicans or whatever race or nationality a person is...because as soon as you do say something or even mention something against said races, you're labeled as a discriminator or prejudiced or whatever it is they want to pull out and use in order to defeat you, in order to get their way, etc...
I agree with your post but one exception...black america can say whatever they want about whoever they want. It's called White Guilt.I don't know if I can put this in words that don't look like I'm a hood wearing member of some backwards organization or not but it's not the fault of the blacks, mexicans or whatever race of people that try to bend the political world to best suit their own lives ....White america is at fault for allowing these things to happen themselves ......The news jumps all over whatever is said that could be in any way construed as racist and the race that does the loudest screaming for somebody's head is the white race ...The end result is that everybody is scared to voice his real opinion and we end up with a president that doesn't seem to care much about the ideas this country was built on.
You know I didn't agree with McCains lack luster approach to battling Barry at all. One side was mean as a rattlesnake and McCain just seem to take it thinking the high road was gonna win when he had tons of ammo to launch! What were they thinking??? Maybe they were afraid of being called racists I don't know....I don't know how true this is or not...it's probably true I guess.
For those of you who are fans of Palin, what do you see in her that makes you think she would make a good president? Serious question. After all the comments I heard from the right on here about how inexperienced Obama was and therefore not presidential material, how is Palin any more experienced?

I'm not sure she'd make a good President......but I do think she was way more qualified than Obama. For those of you who are fans of Palin, what do you see in her that makes you think she would make a good president? Serious question. After all the comments I heard from the right on here about how inexperienced Obama was and therefore not presidential material, how is Palin any more experienced?

Since the day Obama was elected to the STATE senate, he's been running for President.
* He NEVER wrote a bill in the STATE senate.
* He NEVER sponsored a bill in the STATE senate.
* He BARELY took a stand for anything in STATE senate.
* He has NEVER held a SERIOUS job.
* In the US Senate.........he NEVER sponsored a bill, or cosponsored a bill.
* He voted PRESENT more times than Yea or Nea in BOTH Senates.
So......he is CLEARLY not qualified.
With Sarah Palin.........
* She was Elected to the City Council 2 times.
* She was Elected Mayor of a small community where she served for YEARS, requiring her to manage people, and budgets.
* She was Elected Governor of the LARGEST state in our country. While governor she CLEANED HOUSE.
* While working for the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission, she OUTED her fellow Republicans over ethics violations.
I've SAID it once, and I will say it again.......SHE's more like NORMAL Americans than anyone else that has ran for ANY office recently. For example:
During her first year in office, Palin kept a jar with the names of Wasilla residents on her desk. Once a week, she pulled a name from it and picked up the phone; she would ask: "How's the city doing?"
Obama NO.........Palin.........YES.
Plenty of Palin info here:

Perception trumps reality.
If a lie is repeated often enough, then people begin to believe that it's not a lie but in fact, it becomes the truth.
The perception of Palin being stupid, etc is repeated so often by the left, that people begin to believe what they are constantly exposed to in the media. When one cannot voice valid opposition reason to a debate, then the name calling: stupid, war-monger, etc are voiced.
Alot of negative comments about her intelligence has come straight from people in the McCain/Palin camp, as a matter of fact I'm not sure if I have heard any of them come to her defense. Maybe they have but I don't remember it.
Anyway blame the MSM all you want to for running with it but when it's coming straight from your own camp it doesn't look good.
And to answer apb's question: "For those of you who are fans of Palin, what do you see in her that makes you think she would make a good president?"
She has a cool nickname "Sarah Barracuda"That alone right there puts her at the top of the Republican choices for 2012 imho.
Why is that whenever anybody questions Sarah Palin's qualifications, the first response is always, "Well, she's more qualified than Obama?" Keep in mind this response is coming from the same people who call President Obama a communist, a socialist, a closet Muslim, a fool, the worst president ever, and so on. I hope you all understand that, coming from someone who has expressed those opinions of Obama, the statement, "She's more qualified than Obama" sounds kinda like, "Yeah, we know she's not qualified, but we couldn't find anybody better."
IMO a lot more of her popularity comes from her looks than most Republicans care to admit.
Exactly!!! Road Toad. I have been trying to find a way to put that in writing to respond to George's comments. But you said it and I agree. Lets be honest here guys!! The ones that have supported Mrs Palin during the campaign never discussed what George is now saying. Back then, I was looking for something positive about her cuz I really like John McCain so I came here looking for it. But all I heard was that she won a beauty pageant and she looked good in a bikini and other nonsense like that. She was valued on her looks only. She comes out with a book and comments were that they hope there were pictures to drool over. So I made my comments based on the negatives I have heard about her from the press and yes John McCain's camp. When the only positive thing that is said about her is her looks then she is not political material in my book.
THOSE who have supported Palin ALL along have been saying what I've been SAYING........
It is sad that the more you call someone STUPID, or a FOOL, or whatever, the MORE they look like it.
I wonder why you guys are still SKARED of her......if she is such a non issue, WHY make her an issue.
Pontooner.......from what I understand, the negative comments, came from anonymous sources within the McCain camp.......I HATE ANONYMOUS sources.......MAN up or SHUT UP.
