A lot of it will have to do with your height. I have saw taller people use a 7' 11", but most use a 7' 6" model instead. I personally have used both & settled on the shorter one for myself. Just a more comfortable fit for me all the way around
I'm 5'10" and I use the 7'6" MH Crucial Flippin Stick. I thought about getting the Heavy action initially, but the MH is a crowbar! It has yet to fail me, and is VERY sensitive for a rod of that size and action. It is an absolute STUD.
I love it. It is a little on the heavy side in weight, but well worth the money. Plus it has the lifetime over-the-counter warranty -- can't go wrong with that.![]()

I have several 7'6" heavy action sticks & like the Shimano Clarus ($69.99 with a lifetime warranty) as well as any I've used.
I like the 7'6" as well. I have the Heavy action, and it has been perfect.
Do any of you use anything else besides braid on your flippin rigs?
Don't mean to steal your thread or anything, but I got a like new Loomis GL2 7'6" I am trying to sell for $150.00. Very nice rod, just don't use it a lot and in a pinch. Let me know if your interested, I may let it go cheaper.
I know everbody has seen the floating piles of tires, bottles and plastics {litter} amongst a few logs in the back of some main lake cuts, has anyone ever pulled a bass out of one of these? I have not, just wondering if bass get under these piles.......Greg
