Help,,Barkley Dam

Hey,,,I love fishin below Barkley dam, off the walk way....., I have always fished in May.But,,I would
like to start earlier...

I know I like the water below the dam to be at 320.So what would be the best water temp to start fishin for white bass & Stripers?
