one limit per livewell??

Thanks for all the feedback .The reason I asked ,is someone told me they had over 30 white 's in the livewell and were checked by INdiana DNR at the New Albany ramp and the officer gave him a warning & told him only one limit of a species in a one live well or basket

was your friend by himself?been checked a few times crappie fishin with more than one limit in one livewell and never heard such,,even if you use seperate livewells what's to say i didn't help my buddy catch a few of his?
