    KY River

Anyone have any idea about fishing the river since the thaw has kicked in? I was thinking about trying it this week?

Also any ideas as to what to target during this time of year...usually fish crappie and bass.

I was planning to get on the river this week, but forcast is the river is going to rise 3 feet from tues to thurs. This will probably muddy the water and current will be fast. May go to Taylorsville instead. When it does settle down though, I would like to get down there and drift minnows/shad just off the bottom in main channel. I know there are some monster cats down there waiting!!! If you go be sure to post what you find.

Here is a link to hydrologic flow at lock 4 in Frankfort. This shows current river level and a forcast of river level for next 3 days.

Just had a "Duh" moment. I was assumming you were in Frankfort. If you fish a different pool, scroll down on that page to a button that shows up steam or down stream. That button will take you up stream to Tyrone, from there hit it agin to go to Salvisa, ect. till you get to the pool you fish. Down stream will take you to Monterey, Lockport and Carrolton.
