Fished the Frankfort pool of KY river yesterday. Ice was around the dock in Benson but was able to get the boat in. Water in benson was muddy. River was fairly clear but it was rising and swift. Ran up to Glenns creek, fished the channel, no strikes, Moved over to the cliff, caught small mud cat on bottom. Fished the old covered bridge on the bottom that is below the new singing bridge. No luck. The water was probably just to fast.
Used my new Hummingbird side image with gps. Have been reading some blogs and web sites on side imaging interpitaion. Wow!!. Found some things with the SI. that were amazing. Saw a school of bait fish about 80 feet off the port side. They appear as a cloud in the water. Moved the cursor over the cloud on the SI. display image and marked it as a waypoint. Switched over to map and trolled over to the waypoint, threw a shinner in there and then guess what happened!! No strike. Oh well, still hade a good day outside and practicing using the features on that hummingbird SI.
