I agree good stuff. We have had the HSA for three years and I like it alot. Our deductible is pretty high but thats the choice of the boss since he pays for it but they actually put money into it on a monthly basis to help us out. I also put some in to help offset my taxable income for the tax year.
I think I can contribute $3000 to this and of course it's pre tax when it goes in or when it's used on qualified expenses.

Re: So simple.....even a CAVE man can understand it......

It's a good article in principle, but some assumptions are made.....

"Introducing choice and competition reduces business overhead. Businesses could use these savings to raise wages or hire workers. This stimulates the economy without spending a dime of federal money."

...or they could distribute the savings amongst the executives.

"A system of tax credits can help the uninsured purchase coverage. This would cost approximately $80 billion annually. Reforms #1 through #4 will save approximately $120 billion annually, covering the uninsured. Healthcare reform must be viewed in terms of American debt, not federal deficit."

There's no guarantee that reform #1 and 4 will save $120 billion. There could be things pop up unexpectedly that drive up costs. In addition, we have to make sure those tax credits actually go towards purchasing insurance.

It's definitely a step in the right direction but proceed with caution. It's going to take a group effort and EVERY individual will have to do their part. If the have-nots continue to sap off the have's then no plan is going to succeed.

Wonder how much we as a country give third world countries to take care of themselves? We should cut way back and take care or our debt and our people first then help our friendly countries who appreciate it.
We can help the others with whats left but don't borrow money to give to another nation.
