Yes, Rick still guides. Over the past 10 years, I have used 4 different services (incl Rick) and he is the only one I still use and have been satisfied with 100%, even on days the fish don't cooperate. His service is called Striper Madness and he goes out of Alligator II marina now. He does walleye trips, but I'm not sure if he offers them year-round...you would have to call him to verify. One other thing, Rick is a one-man show this year. He does not have any other guides working for him at this time. His usual man is in bad health.

Obviously, this is JMHO. There are lots of other good services as well...Rick's is my personal favorite. Talk to your friends and other board members for references...they will tell you if there are any problems out there.

I don't think Randall Gibson guides for Eyes on the lake itself which is what poster asked about. He does guide on the river alot and occassionally on the lake itself but mainly for Stripes. Gibson is a great guide and knows what he's doing bigtime. I could be wrong on this though.

It might sound weird, but come to the Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show this Saturday at the Fern Valley Hotel. I'm going to have about 10 vendors who all guide on the Cumberland River. They do everything from trout, to walleye, to stripers.

The doors open at 9am and the show runs till 5pm. The cost is $6 for adults, kids 12 and under, and active military free. Lots of great door prizes and raffles too.
