    How about a big 17' deep v with a 125hp outboard,or would this boat be overkill? Not only below the dam but on down the river also.

    Hey Farmer when the water is high the deep-v is a great boat down there but when the water low and the dam is below about 7,000 cfs its way too big it may look deep but that river is hard to read. Anyways the river right below the dam is not too deep, part of it is out of the water when low so be careful.

    I run a 17' semi-v with a 50hp. But your boat should be fine during "fishable" water.
