I noticed some posts on the Elwood thread on the fishing page was deleted. I think it was one by know1, DJD, Myself and maybe one other. None of those were derogatory in any way. This site has the ability to do whatever it wants to and I'm not complaining but I'm curious as to why those were deleted? Those posts weren't slams or even hints of slams.

Are Moderators censoring posts now to their liking? I'm not trying to be smart I'm just asking so no need to scream at me just curious?? If anybody saw those other than me, did you think those were slams or cheap shots I sure didn't???


I'm just asking a question not looking to start trouble, just an honest question.

I think you are referring to my post on who pissed him off to get him to leave. I didn't see a dam thing wrong with anything in the post! I asked a simple question and I did get the answer. Whats wrong with asking a question at worse it should have been moved to this board but not deleted. I really don't give a rats a!* , I got an IM with the answer I was looking for.

I must have missed your post, I wasn't necessarily referring to any given post just noticed several were deleted including mine and I know darn well I didn't say a word wrong in that post. Heck I was kinda taking up for the guy. Know1 and DJD's posts were deleted to and thay didn't have anything bad on those either.

Woody's got some Jackarses that have been harassing him on a lot of boards in Cyberland. I don't think they would want to do that face-to-face.
He's given a lot to this board. A little back-up shouldn't be a lot to ask.

No argument here Billy that's why I was asking about those posts deleted because they really had his back more than anything especially the one of mine that was deleted. I was just trying to find out what was wrong with those posts.

I met Elwood at Ky lake once and talked for a short stretch. He and his buddy Cliff were out together. He and I have no issues, hell I really liked the guy and I'm sure he liked me.
I just want him to try to ignore dumbasses and let stuff role off his back, it ain't worth it, he has much bigger fish to fry. I most certainly have his back if need be, I want to make that perfectly clear, if I thought otherwise I would say that, but I don't.

You all do realize don't you that (according Elnuts) "part of" his decision to quit posting was due to some of the actions of one of the moderators of this site. I don't know which moderator nor do I care, all I know is he referenced a "moderator".

I agree, in my opinion the moderators of this site are sometimes over the top on what they deam as being suitable for public viewing and discussion or not....but I take it (the moderators views) with a grain of salt. This is their house, they'll run it the way they see fit...I don't live here I just visit every now and then, and while here I try to abide by the rules set forth.

Kind of wondering if part of my post right here will get changed or deleted.

I remember a few Mods saying enough is enough with this I'm leaving routine. I totally agree with that point of view either thicken up your skin or leave without the Farve drama. JMHO.

He did it more than once and all it did is start a thread that gave a few guys the opportunity to throw stones. It served no purpose and got kinda cheesy.
For the record I think the man has been though hell and back. Met and talked with him in georgetown and was truely amazed at what he has been through. I liked him and wish him well.

Gotta disagree to some degree Billy. I've fished with El, he's a good guy, and a darned good fisherman. Very opinionated as most of us are, and he's wound pretty tight. He has lot going on, airs it all out, and gets a lot of print. Anyone who does that will get more than his fair share of detractors. He has given a lot to this board, but he's also gotten a lot. I doubt he needs or wants a moderator to take up for him by deleting posts.

I've had my ups and downs with the mods over the years, IMO they aren't always consistent. That said, it's up to Peter and his crew to run the site as they see fit.

Guys, I am wound pretty tight and with good reason. With everything that I go thru on a daily basis the last thing I need is for people to question my integrity as a fisherman. I am no pro nor will I ever be one and there are very few things that I am pretty good at on this planet but catching Smallmouth out of Dale Hollow Lake in the winter is one of them. Not saying that to brag but it is just a fact of life. I have had to defend my "pussy fishing" "wussy fishing" "sissy fishing" on other boards A BUNCH and to a degree on this board as well. I have caught EXACTLY 49 Smallmouth over 5lbs out of Dale Hollow and that is a number that I don't need to exagerate to make myself sound better than I am, but if anyone wants to follow all my post in the past 6 years they will clearly see the number go up and up. There has been 9 different guys in my boat that have caught a Smallie over 5lbs as well besides those that I have caught. All 9 of these it was their first Smallie over 5 and for the rest of their lives and when they tell their kids about it, it will always include me in the story. When people are creating log on ids for the sole purpose to bash others that is too much. To tell you how easy it is, I created a second log on id named Netboy Extraordinaire the same day I quit posting using an email address I started with Yahoo just to see how easy it is. Never posted with it but was going to use it to bash back but thought better of it. The day I quit posting and made my post, my log on id Elnutsmalljaws quit working, go figure. It took Peter to reset the password for me to get back on and get my PM's. Never did find out why that same day my account quits working, go figure. Then to throw in the bogus Craigslist ads that Yahoo started and those phone calls using my name and phone number that I posted on the Winter Fishing Get Together post, to help others get in touch with me, was the iciining on the cake. I let a lot of things roll off my back, especially in the past 4 years because they are not very important in the big scheme of life but just can't let someone questioning my integrity. As far as pictures go, I have plenty, but I don't take pictures because the majority of my fish are caught in the first couple hours of daylight and a lot are back to back cast. I dont spend time getting in position, getting the camera, then taking the picture. For example this winter alone there has been a 6-2 and a 5-0 on back to back cast caught by me, a 5-4 and a 5-7 caught on back to back cast by me and Vaun then a 6-11 came on the same spot within a half hour later by me. 4-7 and 4-8 on back to back cast by me on another spot. Too many big fish are caught on my top 4 spots the first couple of hours of the morning. I have found the 6 mother load of spots at Dale Hollow and they continue to give up big fish day after day. Of the 49 that I have caught probably 30 have came off these 4 spots alone and of the 9 other guys that caught theirs I believe 7 of them caught theirs off these top 4 spots. too good of fishing to stop and take a picture. but I don't need to defend myself to those that just want to get on here and bash. Got tired of it and stopped posting and only posted what I did to say thanks to those that posted about the article and to answer a few questions. thanks to all that support me and I hope those that bash me are even Greener with Envy than before.

Got any pictures of them big fish? I would just like to see one that big.
