my wife started a tax biz and were we got the biz we get free wi-fi but we are getting a poor signal how and what do we need to get to pick up a better signal

Need some more info........is the wi fi on her computer a USB plug, or builtin, or a card.

ALSO, where is the "free" wifi coming from..........who provides it......
