Exactly...UK has one of the biggest fanbases in sports. If my job is to get hits on a web page for ESPN,CBS,whoever, I'm going to write articles and start blogs I know will get the most attention.I'm a thug! I'm sorry I can't help it!! If I'm playing ball or wrestling and I get a knee or an elbow my first reaction is KILL! It's a man thing.
Seriously though when you step back and I mean step back and consider all the negative stuff about UK and it's players isn't it reaching? Millions of people have either viewed, or witnessed or heard about this stuff and nothing has been done.....It's good water cooler talk but that's it.
I bet ESPN (who is famous for inventing heros and villians cause thats what makes a sports story nice and juicy) loves to incite the frenzy on teams at the top. First it was Coach Cal being wrong for the school and he shuts them up by winning. Coach Knight dogging Coach Cal and then kinda apologizes. Any play that looks or is suspicious is turned into a conspiracy of kids getting paid off to be quiet or Cousins is a man about to open a can of whoopy on someone like a pitbull if not for Coach Cals abilty to hold him back?
Cousins brings alot of this on himself that can't be denied. His scowl and demeanor fits the tough guy image.
It's so clear that UK has to deal with a different level of srcutiny on every level. I wish they would have really talked him up for getting that tooth knocked out and then smiling and playing around with his new look on the bench. I think they would have if that's what people wanted to see.
"If" he hit a fan, he would have consequences like right now! I looked at the video and all I can tell from it...it looked like maybe he stuck his elbow out to keep from getting ran over from fans jumping down from the stands. Also one thing that looked interesting is that the reactions from fans that are standing right there...didn't react out...they would have been pointing or something. If he realy hit a fan..there would have been an uproar right then and there. Maybe it was like that Mohamad Ali bunch! You remember that...they called it the "invisiable punch". The white guy dropped like a sack of tators so fast...that they thought he was "throwing" the fight. But when they played the video in slow motion...Ali did actualy throw a punch so fast that hit the man's jaw right on the button..... the human eye was unable to see it at that exact moment it was so fast. Thats true you know...probably can google it. I see if I can find it.
Correction...I did find it on google!...it was called the phontom punch...1965 Ali vs Sonny Liston...oh, and Liston wasn't a white dude either. So maybe Cousins has a phantom punch in his bag of tricks! Also...the UofL player did throw that knee up in a aggressive manner when they were on the floor fighting for the ball. Im not nessesarly backing Cousins..I just wouldn't get him pissed off...much."If" he hit a fan, he would have consequences like right now! LOL demo, I was wondering when Sonny Liston turned white. That fight was in Lewiston, Maine. That little town in Maine produced the lightweight champion of the world in the early 1990's.Correction...I did find it on google!...it was called the phontom punch...1965 Ali vs Sonny Liston...oh, and Liston wasn't a white dude either. Let me make sure everyone knows where I stand.
#1 I think Cousins is a thug based on his past.
#2 I don't think there is a story here as relates to the kid from SC!

I would have found a folding chair and went WWE on the idiots that stormed the court! Self defense at its finest!!!
Well watching the Vandy game yesterday, BOOM, there comes another forearm. I don't know guys, this guy is a bit a loose cannon, and Bledsoe is getting about like him.
Also evidently he is a likeable Cuss, because everytime he gets yanked by Calipari to sit down after one of his little deals he drops about three to four Tiger Woods ''F'' bombs on the way to sit down and always seems to get by with it. That throat forearm yesterday was just being dirty, sorry guys, you can't sugar coat that one.
I would love to see Thuggins try some of those cheap shots when he gets in the association. It would be great to see Ben Wallace or Ron Artest pimp slap the thug. The more games he plays, the more he proves me right.
I was always a fan of Bill Laimbeer also!!!
True and by then maybe Arenas will be back! Lol he got guns...real ones!
It's a different life in the NBA....all the boys down low are big.
