I would agree to a certain degree that both parties are out of touch. However, I feel the democratic party has become blind followers of the far left wing. The democratic party has flat out ignored anything the repubs have brought up in regards to policies involving healthcare, terrorism, cap and trade etc. and frankly treated them the same way they did George Bush, with total contempt and disrespect, regardless of if he or they were right or wrong.
The dems thought that the public hated all repub's, and having a super majority, that they could do whatever they wanted and didn't have to listen to anyone, not even the american public. Arrogance and a case of getting the big head from power. Now after finding out that that didn't work they want to label the repub's as the party of no and say they haven't offered any idea's which isn't true. I have seen what bills they have tried to shove down our throats and frankly I would have said no too.
Don't get me wrong, I am an equal opportunity hater when it comes to politicians. I think all the career politicians aren't looking out for what's best for the country but rather what's best for them as individuals. Appeasing the leaders of their party to make sure they get the financial backing from their parties leadership during their next re-election campaign. The members don't want input from us the public cause frankly we don't pay them enough.. I think I will shut up now. Sorry about the rant....
