Well i've heard and read really good things about newton lately. I really dont know much about it, but it has a reputation for big bass right now. Turtle creek.. not so much. Although i do know someone who still goes there whenever he can. It still holds the big ones, but i think it takes somes time and effort to figure them out. Id go to newton..
If you want to go to Turtle Creek, there are some new hotels near Sullivan and Carlisle, they are on US 41 and easy to locate on the internet.
If you go to Newton, there is only one place to stay in the town. I think it is called Riverview. $59 a night. Not many rooms so make sure you got one before you go.
You could got another 15 miles to the I-70 Effingham exits and there are multiple places. I recommend the Hampton Inn. They are always clean and very nice.

I just stayed at a Motel in Newton last weekend...Hot water, cable, refridgerator and all for $28 bucks. Ive stayed in much worse and paid more. Just a few miles away from a gas station, Dairy Queen, and Subway. If you want to go to Turtle Creek, there are some new hotels near Sullivan and Carlisle, they are on US 41 and easy to locate on the internet.
