    Re: Flourocarbon line

    I use the XPS Flouro from Bass Pro; works great. Used it for over a year with no problems. A little pricy, but I think it's definetly worth it. Have 5 rods, 3 with flouro, 2 with mono. If not that, some of the guys I fish with use Vicious and swear by it, but XPS has worked for me.

    I've been using Seagar for 5 years. In my opinion it's hard to beat.

    I like Vicious, especially since I got two 800 yd spools for $18.00 each on eBay

    I tried Seaguar last year and now if I put fluro on a reel it will be Seaguar ... Great stuff and not extremely expensive

    I vote Seaguar. I use alot of the 15# stuff and you cannot see it in the water. Very sensitive, very low stretch. Never had a palomar fail.

    Re: Flourocarbon line

    Sea gar some of heavier weights wont work well on spinning reels, but are excellent on bait casting tackle.But an interesting point about flouro. I dosn't work well on surface baits, because it sinks. I noticed that the first time i used sammys, and zara spooks. there is very little stretch, and its mostly invisible. I like to troll, there was a difference in depth achived with mono as compared to flouro, and also between flouro and braid. So now I use braid and a flouro leader for most fishing, but not for surface, then its braid. Diameter does effect depth also. But thats just my opinion. Things like this make me wish I'd stick to the KISS system { keep it simple stupid}

    I like Trilene Super Strong Professional Grade by Berkley in the gold box. I may try Seagar; it sounds like a consensus.

    But if Seagar is not great for Spinning Rods, you might try the Trilene Super Strong. I have tried a couple other brands and have found the Trilene does not have the line memory other Flouros I've tried and I don't have a lot of back lashes with it.

    Kygorski; good point on surface baits. I hadn't thought of that, so it is definitely something I will consider in the future.

    Iv'e tried most fluro's. Seagar is good so is berkley gold professional, but both are a little pricey. Tried Viscious for the first time last year and I LOVE IT! It's just as good if not better than the others and COST half as much! JMO

    Been using Seagar, great stuff. Tried some Viscous last weekend and had good results. Will probably go with Viscous for now on because it seemed to be equall to Seagar and cost less.
