mhall I have to take you to task on that comment. Walls comment was in reference to Cal saying he played poorly in the South Carolina game not play calls. And what he said was I don't listen to him (meaning the criticism). Still not what you want to hear from a player not quite as bad you portrayed it.
I'll try and find the exact quote but I'm not very far off at all. They played it on all three of our local news last night. Wall has already apologized to Calipari for saying it. Again I'm not bashing the kid as I've sang Wall's praises since he showed up, I like the kid, check prior posts.mhall I have to take you to task on that comment. It wasn't as easy as you made it sound either, not the clip I saw anyway. The tone of the comment was he didn't listen to his coach. I'll try and find it on Youtube, but I'm not much of a copy and paste guy.
I think Cousins is a scary, scary good offensive player. He reminds me of Shaq with some shooting touch. Despite not being able to jump very well, he has a knack for getting a lot of rebounds that he shouldn't get.
Much scarier to me than Wall.
He has several quick moves to the hole to, very hard to guard.
John Wall doesn't look like he's smiling as much as he was earlier in the season.
When I asked him if that was true, he agreed.
Wall was called out by Cal after the Cats lost to South Carolina. Cal was trying to defend Patrick Patterson who was taking some heat for his play, and in the process, he was strong about Wall.
"I don't know. He said I played awful," says John Wall.
"I didn't think I played that bad. I don't know what to expect. He's probably going to say I played bad today too so. I don't know. I just try not to listen to him and go out and play basketball and try and help my team win."
This is from the original article by Alan Cutler. I just think that the kid spoke out of frustration and the media has run with it. We have to keep in mind that this is a 19 year old who is not used to a coach taking his performance to task.
Dude,,,,I said the age deal in my original post.John Wall doesn't look like he's smiling as much as he was earlier in the season.

Sorry for not having the exact words right but I wasn't that far off.
I just try NOT TO LISTEN TO HIM and go out and play basketball and try and help my team win.
Not exactly what you want your star guard saying to the media is it??? That was my only point. And you are right he's just a snotty nosed kid...........Agreed.
Don't take offense. Wasn't trying to start an argument just wanted to point out that the kid didn't say he "didn't do what he says half the time" when it comes to play calling, He said he didn't listen to the criticism.
There is probably more that was said but not aired. One of the media's favorite ways to get a cheap pop is to just cut and paste certain quotes from an interview or discussion in order to generate a story. Usually if you look at the rest of the discussion the quotes take on a whole different context.
