1996 Frame Rot...which manufacturer? Was it a Chevy?

I have a 97 Chevy...the only signs of rust thus far are on the very bottom of the door skins. Couple of years ago I went to a junk yard and bought two rust free doors off a 98 model, they're sitting in the garage waiting until their day comes. I'm of the opinion that it's ALWAYS cheaper to keep her, so hopefully that's what I'll do.

DJD - Facts are facts...and I probably agree with you, those "foriegn" jobs probably do require less maintenance, I've never driven one but I have rode in several and they all seem well engineered, etc. But for me...man I don't know, I just can't cross that line. Like you say, to each his own.
