Benefit for Haiti

Do any of you know about any benefit tournaments for the people of Haiti? If so, would you please let me know? If not, I'd be interested in helping to organize something in conjunction with, perhaps, a missionary or medical group provided services so the aid could get directly to the people. They are several ways we could do this. It could be bass only, or open to different species on total weight, or something creative and fun.

I like the idea alot, but I wouldnt know where to begin to help you organize it. It is something that i would very much like to be apart of tho and if you do get it together ill get as many people involved as i can.

Well, right now it's just me...are there any anglers here connected to anyone or organizations doing work in Haiti? Or maybe a couple of clubs to help organize something like this? What kind of lake would you like? What would the sentiments be about a tourney with both panfish, catfish and bass divisions? Maybe a four team fish-a-thon for 24 hours, 12 hours a team. It could be trolling motor only....Summit, Dugger Unit, or just a bass tourney only?

This sounds like fun to me, or is this too complex?

If a group of us started organizing now, attached to a 5013C non-profit with some clear plans and guidelines, we could host something late fall. Haiti will continue to have needs.
