Ahh Bolshevik!![]()
Just to interject here, "In God we Trust" and "One nation under God" for the pledge were added in the 1950's. An anti-commie thing if I remember right....If it was decided years ago things like "in God we trust" or the Ten Commandments was gonna be a part of this country and it upsets a person, party, religion, group or cult then leave.
People died for those beliefs or rights and to remove these things is an injustice to the millions of people who can't speak for themselves....
I am also suprized that there has not been anything on this.
Andrew
Anyone actually hold one in their hand? Stuff I am seeing online through a google search says its bogus and "in god we trust" is still on the penny.
Andrew
Not me...I have a friend who swears by it. He says his Uncle made a scene in Cracker Barrell over it. I would like to see one though.

According to that website (and several others I found that say the same thing), the only thing that changes is the reverse side (the side opposite Lincoln's head). In God We Trust is on the side with the head, so it should still be there.
well they have to take it off...it might offend the 'unamerican' americans...
Andrew,
I looked as well (should have looked it up before) and I think he has duped me and I posted a bogus thread. Snopes says this is false, US Mint says 2010 penny has "In God we Trust" so I apologize to you all for posting this based on hear say. Sorry....
The good news is I now realize I could be Weatherman or in Politics you don't have to be right in either profession.![]()
Good thing it didn't say "In DJD we Trust".
BTW "In God We Trust" first appeared on the 1864 two-cent coin.
No biggie Don. It seems the confusion started a while back when they introduced some new dollar presidential coins and just showed the back of the coin. Got people thinking that the front had been changed too. New pennys came out and the story moved to them. One of the reasons to check several sources.
bass, thanks for the info. Did not know that.
Andrew
I approve it to, it fired me up, BOOYAH!I can't for the life of me imagine why the most simple things can get so complicated? It's easy...this country was founded with certain things in place. There is no reason to go back and try to change things that reflect those proud moments for this country...NONE!!

If the country you left is so good then go back there.
If your new found religion, special interest or belief system that you now enjoy has problems with this country and it's ways of displaying it's founding ways then leave.
If your wittle feelings get hurt because you choose to find the negative in everything in this country....leave.
I wish our so called leaders would stop worring about the minority belly aching or special interest junk and lead this country forward....not backward. Leave History alone.
My name is Don and I approve this rant!
Well it has been de-bunked, oh well it was a dang fine rant Don, I really enjoyed it. I've drank entirely too much coffee this morning and it really jacked me up I was kinda liking it, lol.
Crashing now...............
