    Would you be interested?

Anyone ever heard of BASS University? If it were held in Lexington would you attend? Looks like it's a 2 day intensive fishing seminar. It costs $175 - $225 per person. See more at http://www.thebassuniversity.com/front

If you would be interested in attending an event in Lexington, scroll to the bottom of their home page and click on CONTACT. Send them a note that you would like to see this seminar come to Lexington... I'm making some efforts through my industry to bring it to Lexington. Not sure what will happen but I'm giving it a shot. I'll keep you posted if/when I learn more.

Please give me your thoughts and feedback... Thanks!

Thanks but If I was gonna spend that kinda money on a fishing learning session I would get it from Dave Stewart and keep the money here in a Kentucky fellas pocket.

Plus I bet for our waters Dave would smoke'em anyway.
Wasn't trying to put down your info at all just giving my opinion and thanks for posting as some may very well be interested.

I have been to the one in Ohio several years back. It was good with some good info but I would rather spend the money with a good guide and get on the water experience. JMHO

    Re: Would you be interested?

I doubt they would come to Lexington but maybe Cincinnati might get one. They did have one in Nashville, but I was unable to go that weekend. The class has gotten great reviews about the knowledge they share in it, they even had a few times the pros asked the other pros to leave the room so as to not tip their hand on a few different tactics.
As you can tell most of the people on here would rather go to a elnut school than any BASS Pro.

They had one at U of L years ago...same thing but was called something different. Can't remember all of the anglers they had, but I remember Jimmy Houston was there and Mark Menedez. I believe it was a two day deal and it was six pro anglers.

Interested yes but not at those prices. I know these guys want that kind of money and heck maybe deserve it but with the economy and possible cost of obamacare or whatever the feds are looking into I'm keeping alot of my extra cash in my bank.

I know some people went to one in Cincy and received some Bass Pro gift cards for going.

    Re: Would you be interested?

I would if it was in Cincy and in February. I used to go to these all the time. It helped with cabin fever. Granted when Bass put them on it was around 100 or maybe a bit more, but you did get money off or % at bass pro.

I do agree that Dave is going to give you what you need. I have been out with him last year. It was my fault for not booking his class early. If you haven't been out with Dave, you should sign up. Oh sign up early, because if you don't he will be booked. My brother and I had fun, caught a lot of fish and learned some things.

    Re: Would you be interested?

I went to one several years ago in Nashville, Tennessee. Jimmy Houston, Gary Klein, and George Cochran were there along with a couple others I can't remember. They covered some of the basics, and shared a few secrets, however; nothing to really elevate you to the next level in Bass Fishing.

It was something to do in the doldrums of winter and the cost at that time was $100.00. I did take my son, think it was half price for him, and the pro's autographed a poster for him.

I agree with the other thread, for the money I would rather invest money in a guide on the lake I did most of my fishing. I think itt would be more beneficial in the long run.

    Re: Would you be interested?

I also went the one in Cincinnati a few years ago. I don't think it cost it cost as much as what you're talking about, $175 - $225, though. If it was around $125, in Lexington and had some good pros, I definetly go. I really enjoyed the last one I went to. In fact, I have an audio recording plus photos of all the overheads from the last Bassmaster University.
