It's probably better that he not be there. Just a disaster waiting to happen - it's always that 0.01% of the fan base that ruins it for the other 99.99%..........

He plays the bad guy role well though. Talking smack about Calipari and then no-showing the big day in Rupp. People hate him. I'm not sure I like him or not, but do respect his achievements. I also like to listen to him do color on ESPN games because he commentates on the game itself - not what is going on elsewhere.

Totally respected the way he handled his players. I don't think he is perfect in any way even when dealing with his players but I liked the hard nosed approach.

Now since he is an old fuddy duddy he is letting his mouth get him in trouble with people who don't have to listen to him or deal with his sensitive feelings. We have all been around the big guy on campus who just can't let go of his glory days....well he is just another example of that.

I wish he did come regardless of what happened. If he wants to run his mouth then back it up....show up take the boos but at least you will save a little face.

Wonder if anyone will push him to give the real reason?
