Can't get the link to work for some reason so just google "Historical Data - Bureau of Labor Statistics Data" and it should be the first link at the top, then you can adjust the years data to be shown.

And this isn't your run of the mill recession, it's considered the worst since the Great Depression by most economist. Again I'm not defending anything Obama has or hasn't done just trying to keep things in perspective because you guys think your ideas are a easy fix to a major, major problem.

Also Devils Horse while the link was to NPR the meat of the article was from Congressional Quarterly reports, I just googled Obama success rate because I had read the story in the Bowling Green Daily News a few weeks back and it was the first link there that contained the same story. I don't think the BG Daily News is very pro Obama from my reading of it every day but hey what do I know.
Couldn't resist a jab...Anyway the point was the difference in how the government approaches a depressed economy.

Reagan cut the government and taxes. His approach worked. The economy recovered and prospered for many years afterward. He also quit rolling over and taking loads of crap from other countries like that pansy Jimmy Carter did.

Ready for the best of all? Even though his administration did some wrong things, and yes, some bad things, Ronald Reagan never apologized for The United States of America to anydamnbody. Ever. That's a HUGE deal to me, and IMO millions of others.

Now conversly, Mr Obama is apologetic for us bad ole Americanos, and he's growing government at a record pace while borrowing us into generations of debt. Not to mention his federal forays into private industry like auto companies and banks. Federal tax increases for all of us are inevitable...I PROMISE you it will happen. His socialist approach is proven to fail time and again all over the world, yet here we go.

The country as a whole is beginning to realize what many of us have known all along, Mr. Obama is a terrible mistake which will cost us dearly.
