I have down loaded it now after 4+hrs,many tries.Only checked out a few lakes but its just like the GPS i had on my boat. The iphone is the bomb. With the weather you can check Radar before you decide too make a long run.Every angler or at least co-angler needs 1.YMO

Hey Terry! Just now saw your post, but yeah, that iPhone app is cool. Our rep at BPS showed us that and I was impressed. Works just like a handheld. Also, you can take pics and it can tag those to waypoints. Definitely worth the money IMO.I have down loaded it now after 4+hrs,many tries.Only checked out a few lakes but its just like the GPS i had on my boat. The iphone is the bomb. With the weather you can check Radar before you decide too make a long run.Every angler or at least co-angler needs 1.YMO

Thanks,i've been playing with it and think its way worth the money,i paid about$100 for a chip too put in my Lowrance and the App has that in it.
What app do you use to get the weather radar? That would be great!
I use underground but im sure there r others. Was kinda neat that we used it at Pickwick too decide if we wanted too make a 35mi run,we even checked the wind but still hit some rough water(4to5ft waves)near the end of our run.
AccuWeather is my favorite iphone weather/radar app. It is free and it saved my butt a couple of times on Barkley last spring. One morning we ran 10 miles up the lake and there was a forecast for strong storms but as we left first thing the radar was clear. We got back in a bay where we could't see the incoming weather, heard a clap of thunder and I whipped out the iphone and called up the radar on AccuWeather and it showed a line of severe storms bearing down on us. We took out of there and ran back to the state park and pulled up under a slip just in time as three lines of severe storms proceeded to blow through. In the past I would tend to push it but seeing that radar got me moving and it was a good thing.
A few other good free ones are WeatherBug, the Weather Channel, and MyRadar. Each has its positives and the biggest issue I have is that you have to have a decent signal to pull up these radars and on some lakes the signal is pretty bad...

Does the app show your speed?
