Fish will be deep, still locked onto structure. The best technique we have had the most success with during that time of year, is straightline jigging big head jigs (google that, you'll find them) with 1.5" tri-color tubes (white, orange, yellow the best) in either of the tributaries @ KL (Blood, Jonathan creek, or Big Sandy). Locate structure or drop-offs in 10-15ft of water, mark with your bouey, then jig. Use ultra light, long (8-10ft) rods and 6lb fluoro line. You should fill your livewells doing this, as we have many years. We usually go late March to early April, but have found them deeper during cold years, and shallow during warmer years. Look in my profile, there is a pic of some nice slabs we caught three years ago, doing just this (@ Big Sandy KL). Good luck, and have fun! Let us know how you do!
