Stripers and Wipers in Discharge

Has anybody ever fished the wam water discharges on the White at Petersburg. There is two energy plants and I have heard the action can be fast in February. Might be worth a trip shortly

I've never fished them but I could only imagine how packed in there the bait fish would be. And no telling what you would pull out of there. That very well could be worth the trip. If you like fishing for white bass go to newton. The discharge on the warm water side is loaded with them. Burn a rattle straight up through the discharge and you will catch them all day long. First time a buddy showed me that place at newton I couldn't do anything but laugh at the number we caught.

Southern Illinois. One of if not the best lake around. It's a power plant lake. It's been featured on several fishing shows. You can goggle it and see some monsters taken out of there. It's also loaded with white bass. It's nothing to catch a lot of large mouth over five pounds. If you need more info let me know. I haven't been over there much but I know a little.
