Just ordered me a cumara and a curado from Tackle Warehouse. The rod was cheaper than what Bass Pro carries them for and the shipping was free. So i saved money on the price, and on wasting my gas drivin 30 miles there and back to Bass Pro. Probably saved myself $60 or so going thru Tackle Warehouse.

I believe you should have gotten a t-shirt too. Free t with $150 + purchase, $5 hat, etc.
Don't forget to buy from your local tackle stores. If you want the independant guy (tackle store) to be around for a long time, you have to provide him with your business as well.
Don't forget about saving on tax as well. I don't buy anything from Bass Pro anymore unless someone buys me a gift card. They're way too expensive. Tackle Warehouse and Tackle Experts are a lot cheaper.Just ordered me a cumara and a curado from Tackle Warehouse. The rod was cheaper than what Bass Pro carries them for and the shipping was free. Amen brother I own a small remodeling company if it wasnt for loyalty of surrounding people I would not have a job, I always try to support the small guy, seems there is no bail out for him.
I agree with with buying from the local guy but I can only think of 1 local tackle shop by me and he doesnt carry shimano tackle. Plus he is only open like 3 days a week.
You couldn't be more on the money! www.tacklewarehouse.com makes BPShops look like a mom and pop operation. Don't get me wrong, BPShops is nice for the all around outdoorsman. However, if you want to place a large fishing product order Tackle Warehouse is the place to go! They have it all in every size and color. AND, every order over $50 gets mailed to your door for FREE!!! I have become a BIG FAN!!!
I still support the local guys. Backwaters in Lexington is awesome!
I"m on the little guy bandwagon. I just bought a Cumara 7'2 mh from MK's in Georgetown. I thought long and hard about buying one from Tacklewarehouse(since they are $20 cheeper than anywhere else and no tax or shipping) but went their instead. If I need fishing supplies quick the small tackle shops are the ones I have to go to. If you dont give them any business they dont stay around.
i shop at performance tackle.com their owner hooks, flourocarbon and plastics are cheaper than bass pro shops. no more 30 minute drives to find they're out of what i went there for. no more sticker shock. when you find so many little stores with cheaper prices you know bass pro shop is gouging us !!!!
There is a code for 10% off out now as well. I just used it a week ago. They have big sales where everything is 10-20% off thats when to buy.
I gotta admit I love Tacklewarehouse too!. I just placed an almost $700 order with them and the free shipping, No tax , free t-shirt, plus a hat and hoodie for 15$.....I saved a ton on price alone much less the free shipping and no tax...I still support the local guys but its hard to turn down the savings!
