    Re: SW Indiana Fishing

If you walk onto the dam from the Ky side you are still in KY. You'll need a Ky non-residence license. They were $50 last year, don't know if they have gone up or not. Haven't gotten mine yet. You can fish up to the Ky. bank from a boat with an Indiana license. If you go in a creek on the Ky side you must have a Ky license. Hope this helps.....

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure. I figured you'd have the answer.

Don you can fish from either bank of the Ohio with an IN license. Or with a KY license. That's what the interstate reciprocal license agreement with KY allows for.

That is what I was told and saw somewhere. If I can find it I will post it.

I'll wait a couple weeks, but I think I'm going to get some kind of nice inflatable boat. What are the main types of forage fish do you guys have. Depending on lake size I'm used to bluegill and shad. Is it pretty much the same there or do you have something different.

Picked up my Ky non-resident license yesterday and they have not raised the price. Same as last year, $50. Also purchased my Henderson boat ramp sticker. The best river ramp in this part of the country and the annual fee is only $10.

What's going to be my best chance for any of the temperate bass species from shore. If I could get on some white bass on a river from shore I would be in heaven.

    Re: SW Indiana Fishing

Only six weeks til I cross the Mississippi and head to Indiana. I've secured the use of a 10' john boat and canoe. Are there any other spots this opens up for me. Also when do the bluegill start spawning around there. I'm really looking forward to that.

    Re: SW Indiana Fishing

You can easily fish Bluegrass or any of the pits around out of either the john or the canoe. I definately would NOT reccommend either for the river. I have seen canoes in the river but I personally would not attempt it. I'm not sure how stable it would be in heavy boat traffic. Little Pigeon and Cypress creeks, in Warrick County would be possibilities also........
