    UK and Vandy

I watched that game sitting on the edge of my couch....very good game. Vandy sure is tough at home (I hate the floor layout).

I officially think Bledsoe is the "thug" of the wildcats. Did I miss something that would make him pull that move of shoving? He always talks major crap and then tries to back it up with pushing, shoving and unsportsmanlike antics. I like watching UK basketball but that kind of play should be dealt with. Suspensions, fines or whatever.

I agree 100% Don I think it will cause them big when they get into the tournament. He will pull a stunt like that and get a technical or toss out of the game and that is it.

First off, I am a huge UK fan, However I Bledsoe was way out of line on that one. I also think the double technical call was not the best call. Bledsoe should have been T'ed up immediately and that would have been the end of it.

I love Cousins though. Although I admit he is a thug - it is fun to root for him on your own team. I can say if he played for any other team (UL, Tenn., or heaven forbid Duke) he would be my least favorite person in NCAA. I love his physical play - I just wish he get his emotions a little more under control. There is no need to taunt the crowd like he has the last two games. Cal seemed to jump on him pretty good yesterday though. His attitude and mouth running, seems to make the refs a little less generous on him. Just like coach Cal, I have to keep it in my head that these are still emotionally immature and very young players (kids as he calls them) Even though they are built like men and physically dominant, they still have not emotionally and psychologically matured - and that may cause some problems if they don't grow out of that soon.

This has nothing to do with my never ending love for the University of Kentucky. If Bledsoe or Cousins played for Cleveland State I would say this next statement without hesitation.

Cousins and Bledsoe are the two biggest punk thugs I have seen on the basketball court minus the NBA of course in a long, long time. All that said Cousins is a beast and will be a impact player at the next level, but at some point he will get clocked I bet major money on it. That mouth of his is always moving, Punk, pure punk.

i dont think they are going to be bringing anything back if they dont start playing better. the teams they are going to face in March will send them home real quick.

i agree they do alot of trash talk, but how many teams have a player that doesnt. now as far as Bledsoe pushing the vandy player, i was hoping they would have sent him back to Lexington early, there was no need for him to do that. it would help them alot if they could keep their emotions in check and just play ball. i do have to admit i liked seeing that emotion out of Patterson slamming the ball when he got jumped on going for a loose ball, i cant remember him ever act out, or did i see something that was nothing?

I thought you were going to say Louisville.

I would if it was Louisville to. There have been many players over the years at Louisville that I thought was complete Homeboy Punks. There are a couple on this team this year I'm not crazy about.

You know this is an interesting subject. I for one do not the direction college athletics have gone. I HATE this Hip Hop lifetsyle crap in every way. I'm sorry guys I'm not a racist I just don't like this inner city....... hat sideways, tatooted up, pants falling off their ass garbage.
I'm old school I can't help it. Buy a **** pair of pants that fit or don't come out in public cause I don't want to see your stupid bloomers.

I don't like the chest beating like a Gorilla would do after a easy layup. I don't like screaming in somebodies ear as loud as you can because you made a dunk.

I'll stop now, I try not to dwell on it because I'm a sports nut, but I just think some of these young men need to get some class and act like they got some sense.

    Sorry for the rant....

First off I'm a huge UK fan.....and as much as i agree with most of the comments made about bledsoe and cousins there are some good things going on....prior to the season i honestly thought john wall would be the "thug" of the team just from the things i'd heard....To be a freshman and carry hisself the way he does impresses me....He does have that slight cockyness about him but what superstar doesnt.....He and patterson seem to be the "professionals of the team...as much as I'm rooting for them to bring another title home, I don't believe it will happen if they don't do some major attitude adjusting in the near future...not to mention they haven't exactly been playing their best ball of late

I'm a huge UK fan too and I'll say this about Cousins:

    1. He's not the big thug with the bad temper he's made out to me. He takes a lot of physical and verbal abuse and really has only had one or two minor incidents. He's just got a bad reputation at this point, but I think he does a good job of keeping his cool.

    That being said.....

    2. I'm not a fan of him trying to incite the opposing teams fans with the "call me" stuff and gesturing as he goes off the court. I think that kind of stuff needs to be toned down.
