There are a set of public restrooms up near the spillway outfall that were/are a hang out for homo-sexuals. Not unlike many other parks and public restrooms.
I havn't been there to fish since I was going to school at Lindsey Wilson in 03-04. I have never seen anything or anybody down there that I would say was suspicious. The restrooms are not near where I was talking about walking downstream through the woods at. Maybe it has gotten really bad down there I don't know. I only fished down there a handful of times while going to school.
I got a buddy who lives on a house boat on the lake and used to work at the marina. I will call him and ask what is up.
Yeah I am referring to those "funny guys" that tend to hang around the bathrooms....lets just say you wouldn't wanna drop your bait and have to bend over to pick it up...lol
yeah I think most of the "funny" acts take place at night or I'm hoping they do, wouldn't wanna see that in the daylight or night for that matter!!
With everyone talking about fishing down there I'm gonna give it a shot this weekend, prolly saturday morning. haven't fished the spillway since 00' but we would always catch them between the ramp and the 1st bend coming out of the box on nightcrawlers.
If your down there and having any trouble finding people that'll help you out I'll be in a silver Dodge with a spinning outfit casting like KVD..LOL..just give me a shout.
C'mon guys. There are a set of public restrooms up near the spillway outfall that were/are a hang out for homo-sexuals. Not unlike many other parks and public restrooms.

I have heard, but thank god, not seen the same thing.
I would guess it would be fairly easy to tell someone wanting to catch fish, and someone wanting to shake a worm so to speak.
I, personally, am after walleye. Never caught one, going to eat one. I just kinda watch the guys catching, and try to do what they do. They're catching, and not snagging. Haven't figured them out yet. Sure not like the gills or crappies I'm used to.
If you're down there and see a sorry individual crawl out of a red Ranger with topper, and a decal saying "Life is short, Fish often", say, "hey", cause I'm there trying to figure them out too.
A buddy of mine caught crappie and eyes around the bridge a few weeks ago, but haven't been there yet. I kinda enjoy being in the regular folks listening to the BS.
Ya'll come back and see me!
It has just been known for years that there is a crowd of people go down there that don't hang out to fish
Ive never fished at the dam before is there a ramp below it where you can get a boat in? I grew up on Nolin and now live on Barren. I started walleye fishing Nolin last year and catching 'eyes' are addictive. OH and they are delicious, even better then crappie.
There is a ramp there. Also the river is not like cumberland. If you put a boat in you will be running all over peoples lines fishing from the bank. Not saying you cant do it but respect toward the other fisherman goes along way. There are some that do it and dont care, pull right in front of where 10 people are throwing and anchor down in front of them. There is nothing there you cant fish from the bank.
That's the way to do it!Had the boys at Elkhorn Creek last Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, a young man walked up to us as we were catching and releasing Ky's every other cast. We were using medium "minners" under a float. He watched for a few minutes then stated he did not have the tackle to fish the way we were fishin. I proceeded to stand up and dive in the bag and gave him a couple hooks, sinkers, float, and some "minners". He caught several Ky's in just a few minutes. Made my day to see that young man catch a few.
