Fished Rough today, had six bites just couldn't connect, had one hooked it felt decent, but all I got was a hook full of scales. All the bite were quick taps, I figured they were slapping at it. Water was 43 - 45 visibility of about one foot, all bite were one lipless crankbait slow jigged off the bottom on steep banks. I talked to a pair of crappie fisherman and they showed me a livewell full of nice crappie.

how far up the river did you go. I mean is there water around peter cave area. I know that is a prime crappie spot this time of year. I did go down there in jan no water lots of mud.
Yeah, the temps shocked me too, didn't believe my electronics so checked the surface with my old mercury thermo and they were right. Findincrappie, i never left the main lake between north fork and axtel.
