    UCONN

What do ya guys think? Will these guys make it in? They look tough and having their coach back seems to be the ticket. L-ville will be a great game! I think Uconn will win it but can't wait to watch it.

They are back soundly on the bubble maybe even on the good side of the bubble after beating Huggy Bear last night. Louisville needs to beat Georgetown tonight, and then could loose to the Huskies Sunday on the road and still be alright. If they loose both it could spell trouble.

For right now Louisville is in easy but that could change real easily.

Georgetown is a beast on the inside. If the 3's don't fall for the Card's they could be in big trouble. Hoyas have beaten Duke, UCONN, SEton Hall, Pitt, and Nova this yr..So a win for the Cards could prove the case beyond a bubble doubt.

Yea like I say according to all the bracketology, they have to win at least one of these next two or it's not looking good. I'm feeling a win tonight.

Watching Samardo and Greg Monroe will be worth the price of a ticket. I got one :-)

Let's just win this game tonight so we don't have to put as much worry about winning the game this weekend. I will be at the game tonight as usual, Go Cards!!

Well the second half choke job. I have some questions.....

    1. Is Jerry Smith on Meth? How can a guy be so solid for three years and then just be almost completely non-existent?
    2. Is Samantha Samuels as weak as he plays? How can a 260lb man spend so much time on his keister?
    3. Why did Pitino wait till the game was basically decided to start playing Buckles who did make a positive influence in Louisville's favor?
    4. Why isn't Kuric getting more playing time?
    5. What's wrong with George Goode, does anybody know?
    6. Do they now have to win three out of the last four to get a bid, because you know this team can't win in Madison SG?

Meant to write two out of the last three regular season games, not three out of four.

Naw, don't give up yet Billy they can still make it in. Samuels can't dunk he's a Wuss.

Let's see $40 for a ticket. $5.25 x 3 beers, watching the Cards collapse in the second half against a ranked team AGAIN.....sickening!

This is one of the hardest Louisville teams to watch and get behind that I have seen in many a year. I don't care about some losses or a down year that's just basketball. But this team has No Heart, No Leader, No Indentity, they are OK with loosing. Pitino better get his happy ass out on the recruiting trail and get this thing headed back in the right direction.

Samuels is not the answer, we need a real big man down low with skills and grit.
Siva will make a nice two guard, he will never be good at the point, he ball handling skills are no where near what was advertised.
Swopshire, finesse, finesse, finesse, we need muscle.
Buckles is gonna be good but needs more consistant playing time.
We need to recruit some bangers, some down low muscle that's not afraid to rip the ball away from somebody and go up strong. Jennings could be that guy but he seems to be a headcase to me.

    Re: UCONN

Mark, I think Siva will be very good at the point. He has good ball handling and passing ability. I saw it last year watching him play three games at the King of the Bluegrass tourney and running the point in the Derby Classic. He really shined running the point and was far more impressive than Bledsoe that weekend. I think Siva's problems are twofold. He hasn't gotten as many minutes because of injuries early in the sason and he needs work on the defensive end. He still plays defense with his hands, something that worked for him in high school because of superior ability. He cannot get away with that on the college level.

Everytime I think Samardo has turned the corner, he goes out and lays an egg. He had been playing well the last month or so, but he was clearly outplayed by Greg Monroe last night.

I think you are spot on about Jennings, he has million dollar ability and a 10 cent brain.
