you fishing that Murray State tourny this weekend?
no i have to work every weekend because im still in high school but come prolly late march early april i am going to quit that job and coast till bout may and work at the county road dept. all summer. I like fishing the tourneys at deer creek at rocky point IN. every tuesday and thusday afternoons.
oh okay - saw that WKU banner and figured you might be doing the college invitational hosted by Murray this weekend on KY Lake.
Man, senior year of high school for me was a breeze! I fished nearly every day! Ha ha ha! Consider yourself lucky!
Like waterdog said, let me stress the importance of staying between them. There is some pretty treacherous stuff beyond the channel markers, especially on the Barkley side.
The best advice I can give you is to STAY IN BETWEEN THEM. If you're going to go into a creek with the markers, idle to your spot once you enter the creek.
Those markers are there for a reason. If you get to mess around a little, go out and scout them. There are places (I know of at least one on Barkley -- near the prison) where the channel cuts across the lake and if you're not paying attention you'll find yourself in a stump field -- or even worse.
Better yet, if you can look at your GPS while you're running, just stay in the channel and you'll be fine.
Funny how that came up. I'll actually be headed down there this weekend. U of L is sending three teams down, should be a blast if the weather cooperates. If anyone from the area wants to swing by, be at Kenlake Marina Saturday
and Sunday. Come check out the intense rivalry in college bass!
