This is the first time I have seen Ryan Miller play and I am very impressed with his skills. He is cool, calm and collected and keeps his team anchored. He is a great goalie. I think he plays for the Buffalo Sabres but after being in the Olympics he should be able to pick whatever team he wants to play for now especially if the US wins today.

haha Tim you are funny and dont worry I wont hurt ya. Pass the beer please.Let celebrate!!

Dont be too hard on yourself Bob, I really thought your team was going to win when they scored with like 26 seconds left in the game. Game was tied up. **** they know how to give a heart attack. Teams were pretty well evenly matched but I do love Ryan Miller your goalie. He is really great. Our young lad Crosby brought us the winning goal in overtime. Really close game and US had a great team. We are so freaking proud of our boys right now I can hear the horn honking outside!!

Congrats to y'all Gills. Like Tim, I know zilch about Hockey, but I know a great game when I see one. When we scored with 24 seconds left I hollered out loud. I told my wife about a minute before Canada scored in OT there was no way our goalie could continue to stop that onslaught.

Them Canucks is serious about their hockey.

Thanks Devil Horse, I just loved the hockey during the Olympics and they give all they have. I wished they played like that during the hockey season. They do when it comes down to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The USA played very well also and got silver medal. Yeah, we love our hockey and our beer. Glad to see you watched it. We will make a hockey fan of you yet. I enjoy the speed, the skill of handling the puck and the rough and tumble. It was nice not to see any fights. All the players were on their best behaviour.

I'm another who never really liked Hockey. I guess cause I grew up playing football, basketball and swimming. I been to several games but just didn't get bit by that hockey bug.
    Either way competition is great!

    Re: Omg oylympic men's hockey

Man, that was some great hockey to watch! Both sides should be proud. They played their hearts out, and they did it cleanly, although if it had been NHL rules (5 for fighting) instead of IiHC rules (ejection/suspension), there might have been a fight or two. I had to work Sunday so I recorded the game, and I actually knew the outcome before I watched it, but still, getting towards the end of the third period, I was sitting on the edge of my chair thinking, "Are these guys REALLY gonna tie this one up?" And of course Sid the Kid scored that game-winner in OT. As if he weren't enough of a rock star in Canada as it is! Oh well, I'm really disappointed we lost, but if we had to lose to somebody, then it's good it worked out like it did.

BTW I hope they lighten up on the Canadian women's team for their on-ice celebration after they won the gold. They just won the biggest game they'll ever get to play in their lives (after all, they can't play for the Stanley Cup) so they celebrated by pounding a few Molsons and smoking some stogies. Big deal, THEY EARNED IT! So they shouldn't have done it on the ice with kids in the stadium. I say give them a pass, I'm sure they'll all promiise never to do it again.
