Best time to come home

Hey guys , i'm originally from Smith's Grove Ky . but , i've been living in Marietta Ga . now for 20 years . i still have tons of family and friends there , one of which i'm planning on coming home this spring and fishing with for a few days . well i've been gone so long i've lost touch with when
would be the premier spawning time on Barren river . would anyone be interested in refreshing my memory on the ideal time to do my vacation ? any and all suggestions will be appreciated !

I guess it depends on what you are wanting to catch.
Here's how I see it. Whites should be close to right now. Crappie end of March first of April. Largemouth end of April first of May. Catfish end of May first of June. Bream, I guess pretty much all summer on the full moons, though I don't fish for them. Others may see things differently but that should get you in the ballpark.

Thanks for your reply , i spoke to my friend last night , and he said if i wanted to catch a hawg , to come up the ? week of ? and we would go and he promised me one to be proud of ( largemouth ) . again thanks for your speaking up , i am new to this board , and was really just making conversation when i posted this thread . my friend from Railton Ky is probably one of the most knowledgeable , experienced men around that part of the country , so knowing when to come is really not a problem .
