Stack'em all up dig a big hole with Dozers and cover them all up like construction debris.
There is such a law...the "actual" owner of buisnesses or home owners; have a right to protect their property in times of natural or man-made disasters. "The" owner has to give a clear verbal warning that lethal measures will be used upon them, if they don't stop.
There is only one law in the books that will allow you to use leathal force, without a warning...and that situation is if they are "illegally" transporting classified matterials pertaining to nuclear weapons / bio-weapons...or nuclear matterials itself..only then can you use the term...shoot first and ask questions later (this is true).
Case in point....does anybody remember the event called "Ruby Ridge"? It involved a guy by the name of Randy Weaver. Well Randy Weaver was found not guilty...mostly becouse the FBI didn't give a proper warning when entering his property..or before they shot his son (I think he was only 15 years old) out in the woods with his coon dogs; they ended up killing his wife...his 11 month old son (one shot killed both of them) and his son-in-law....there is much to this event...I've researched it well...also Read the book writin by Jerry Spence...(he is the best lawyer in the USA)...he also represented Randy Weaver vs United States (FBI)....Randy actualy was acquitted of all charges. The story is unreal, but fact!...One all Americans should read (From Freedom to Slavery buy Jerry Spence). To make a very long story short...it was the first time in American history...that a FBI director (or any law inforcement officer) gave an order to "shoot first". Much happened right before he gave this order, on the ground at the Weavers land...(but he was in a jet, 30,000 feet over the US, when he gave this edict to his commanders). Anyway...just good info from US history...one they want put in any history books that is for sure.

In KY the castle law applies to your dwelling and no verbal warning must be given before shooting. Actually its tactically sound to do just that...ID target and shoot, no warning!

As for looting, if I run out of supplies and the excrement has REALLY hit the fan and my family is hungry or needs medical supplies, I am sorry, but I am doing what I need to do to keep my family alive. You wont see me carting off a new plasma TV or anything like that though. You can call me cruel but I will take from where ever or who ever the things I need.

Yea, I should have been more specific. I agree with you on the food thing. I was referring to people just stealing because they can, not because they have to. The government over there has already authorized grocery stores and the likes to give supplies away for free to those in need. I should have clarified because I do agree with what you said.

Are you 100% sure on that JD7...I can remember twice where individuals were shot for being inside the home to rob the place...and......
case one: the home owner woke up, heard somebody in his living room...he got up, grabed his Remington 12 gage he keeps by the bed, loaded...he just shot the man in his living room...gave no warning...just shot the dude with a 12 gage right there...The man shot, with a DVD player in hand...died on the spot; he was unarmed...the home owner was charged with 3rd degree man slaughter...was convicted and spet 3 years in prison. There was another person with the robber...he was the "look out"...standing at the doorway and witnesed the event. His testamony stood up in court. And one thing he said during the trial...was the home owner just steped around the corner and blasted him, with no warning. Like I said...3 years in the hosegow.
Case number two...this happended in Kentucky in my home town. The farm owner was asleep...but he woke up to use the bathroom...it was 3am. As the farmer was walking to the bathroom, he happened to look out the kitchen window to see a truck in his drive way. Knowbody was in the truck...as far as he could tell...thinking maybe somebody might be stealing some farm equipment in the barn...he went to his gun case and grabbed his deer hunting rifle...it was a 30-06. As he was walking to the back door...the door knob was turning...somebody is coming into the house, at this time in the USA, locking doors was unheard of. He backs off into the hall way, where it is dark...so that he could see who was coming into the house....the guy walks into the back porch and into the Kitchen...the farmer...seeing that the guy "wasn't anybody he knew" (this was his own testamony), shot the robber right in the chest with the 30-06...it hit him so hard it blew him back about 15 feet, back out on the porch, blood everywhere!!!...dead before he hit the ground. The farmer was found guilty of man slaughter in the 2nd degree! Had had to spend 4 years in prison...but got out in 2yr on good behavior. They said he was convicted... becouse he didn't give a waring...when the robber was outside the door...turing the knob...in other words...if he gave the warning...he prabably wouldn't have had to shoot him.
Just two that I know of for sure.

Pity the fool dumb enough to try and rob an ex-marine (or any of our military)!

    They deserve to be targets!

Everyone that is capable of safely and legally handling a firearm should take the class, get the permit and carry a weapon concealed. Maybe not carry ALL the time but often enough to better the odds.

If enough do I believe the crime rate would fall.

Well you know...I have a story for that as well. This happended in Hopkisville Ky. to a Navy Seal...decorated during early Nam days (1967, 68, 69 volunteered for two more tours) for valor during heavy enemy fire while on a patrol / mission...Also a POW for just a few months, before a daring ascape...helped by Air Force bombing, just by chance. So you would say...this guy is an American Hero.
So years later...he is at a bar with his girl friend...for some reason he uses the term "retarted"...this catches the ear of a biker...he is the leader...and there is about 5 of these bikers guys. This leader...took an issue with this word...(comes to find out this biker leader has a brother...in the bar, that is retarted)!!! so a small scuffle broke out between the biker leader...and the retired Navy Seal fella in the bar, it was broke up by a few bouncers and the bartender, This navy seal fella is a small dude...but very stout, and very strong in the arms; I should know...he saved my life on Barkley Lake; I fell in the lake late at night while checking my limb lines, I hit my head, I was out cold, but that is another story)...So it looked like all was Ok at the bar...everyone settled down...they allowed them all to stay..all seemed OK. But at closing time...the navy dude (I'll call him that for now)...was walking to his car, with his girl friend...when the bikers jumped him. He was right at the door of his car...his girl friend was allready in the passenger seat. They all had big knifes...and they were waking away on him...stabbing him many times...one cut was over 12 inches long...and needed staples to heal. He was stabbed well over 10 times...he strugled just enough to get his knife out from under his seat. One of the bikes pulles out a 22 pistal..and shoot at him at close range...but the Navy dude is able to slice his throat anyway...bloody mess all around. the other bikers try to help their partner, but they to come under a ruthless (one witness said in court "a crazy attack") attact from the Navy dude...he is very good with his knife work. But he is fighting 4 drunk big biker guys; seeing that he is in trouble...still being hit and stabbed..strugles on the ground...and just so happens...is able to grab the 22 pistal on the ground, and uses it on the rest; they take off running, those that were able to, one died becouse of the bullits..some were hit and knifed. But one of the biker guys doesn't run (his brothe is one that got his throat slashed right off the bat)...he still wants some in a big way. But the Navy dude...out of bullits...and wanting to leave the situation...before more biker guys show up...is able to get in the car, tries to shut the door...but the biker puts his foot in the door, and hand...but gets them closed on...and the navy dude drives maybe two miles...before he opens the door, to let the other fall to the road dead. So he kills 3 out of 5...one with a knife..one with a gun..and one with the car...he getts 10 years in prison for 3rd degee manslaughter times 2, for the one he dragged, and the one he hit with the bullits from the 22 (the witneses said that one was shot in the back while trying to run away???)....he served all ten years.

    Re: Shoot'em

I think youve seen conair too many times!

Seriously, if this did happen, please send me some resources on it and Id gladly eat it. However, if this happened today, there is no chance in hell you would get prosecuted. OUTSIDE of a bar, attacked by 5 men, badly wounded. Its CLEARLY self defense (if what you said happened exactly like you said) and wouldnt even get passed the grand jury today.
