    Re: Fishing Honeymoon?

Well I went on my honeymoon before i was ever married,,,Karen and I went to Ely Mn, it`s God`s country! great smallmouth and Northern,Muskey and pan fishing. A place to see bear, moose,,and the biggest deer body wise I`ve ever seen,,,I still got the pic`s,,,LOL,,when i was a hansome man,,,,but that was the best time of my life,,,to sit with your new wife on a dock,,,with no lights,,,watching the northern lights, to hear the call of a lone loon,,,the howl of a wolf in the distance,,,to be with the one you love,,,

Either Green Turtle or Light House Landing should work for you. You have Patti's Settlement right there between the two for good food etc...maybe one of the condo's at Green Turtle.

Had to comment on this one after reading a few posts . . .

I'm a woman who loves to fish. My husband and I got MARRIED on a fishing trip . . . on a boat, on Dale Hollow Lake, with 15 of our closest friends and family along in their boats. It was my idea even. We take 2-3 vacations each year and they are all fishing trips. I wouldn't have it any other way and am happiest on a lake fishing with my life partner.

Point I'm making is this . . . some of us actually DO mean it.

Best of luck and have a fantastic honeymoon!

See there's one of the other 1 in 100,000,000, so the odds are getting slim for the rest of us dreaming of a woman with these qualities .

I know the place for you!!! I can't beleive this crossed my mind the first time around. Take her to Snug Hollow Bed & Breakfast in Irvine, KY. Check it out at www.snughollow.com.

This place is really cool. My wife and I stayed here last May for 2 nights. It's very remote and romantic. They have a fishing pond too. A 3 night stay is perfect!

i found one who has never fished before but she is really interested in learning to fish. she even set with me and helped clean and oil and reline my poles. and liked it. i think their is alot of women out their who would love to fish but never have ben itraduced to it. alot of guys dont even bother to take their partners. now dont get me wrong they are alot who could care less but if they give any hint at all about being interested in it take and teach them. 9 times out of 10 they will love it. if more guys would take their doughters when they are little and make it fun their would be more women who like to fish and that when they get older.

    Re: Fishing Honeymoon?

My husband and I went to Florida for our honeymoon and my wedding gift to him was a full day guided trip at Stick Marsh. I was happy to spend that day on the beach in the sun. My thought is even though a honeymoon is a celebration of your union, a marriage is also about letting your spouse have his/her own time. The rest of the trip we spent together. We are still married 12 years later and fish together as a family.

Lighthouse Landing in Grand Rivers is a very romantic place and perfect for a honeymoon! They have very cute (and very clean) 1 bedroom cottages that have a whirlpool tub. It's a short walk over to Patti's shops and downtown Grand Rivers. There is also a spa called Ginko Garden less than a mile away!
    Good luck to you!!
