Again another life is snuffed out by a previously convicted predator. I wonder just who are the people that think this guy had a right to be free again. We have plenty who are willing to fight about waterboarding terrorists and hurting their feelings. But yet our society protects these violent predators who kill molest and kidnap our children.
This predator was convicted of raping and beating a 13 year old girl and served five years of a six year sentence. That's right a six year sentence? There have been plenty of people go to prison for smoking weed or even less offenses that got more time than this monster.
But we sit back and watch our system forget about the real victims. Its not just the parents of the fallen that I am referring to. I am saying that we all are the victims. As a parent we spend our days terrified to take our eyes off our kids if even for a second. We do not want our children to ever endure this kind of tragic end.
Sure we make it a matter of importance to say that our kids can't drink alcohol. They can't drive and talk on a cell phone and they can't smoke a cigarette. But we will allow violent predators to be free and prey on our kids, for what? To protect the rights of violent criminals. This is just what really upsets me about our country. Is this is the best we can do for our kids?
You want to save some money then let's clear our prisons of violent predators and put them six feet under. Why feed them and give them medical care and have to pay people to guard them. Just to turn them loose to commit the same crimes or even worst. Our prison system is already busting at the seams.
These violent predators have in my opinion forefeited their rights once they were convicted of these heinous acts of violence. They no longer deserve to have "rights".
I am just tired of watching these tragedies unfold over and over again. Being the father of two daughters just makes these crimes anger me that much more.
You would think some lawmakers could come up with laws to make sure these things don't happen again. You would think that this would be something they could agree on, but then again....... Sorry about the rant. Well sorta.
