My latest thoughts were to try shaky head finesse worms or smaller bass jigs with small plastic trailers in hopes of tempting some timid bass. I never considered laying off the trolling motor and shutting off the depth finder. Maybe my luck will turn! As my buddy said after I released that 4lber last year, 'that one fish probably caused us to waste time on this lake for another two years!' lol.
YEA....everyone I know, wants to go to the moutian lakes..where they can also get into the smallies...that will come for me soon enough. I just have a feeling, that those big pigs in Guist Creek...will move up sometime this weekend...to get a little sunshine on their shoulders...They will enjoy the rays...shooting through the water, warming them up a bit...And I won't have to spend over $75 bucks just in gas to do so! I bet you that the 6 pounder is still in that lake (there are some 10's!!!)...and she is fat as a bisqet right now, feeding on the shad die off. They will eat...just have to put it right in their face...I like your idea of the smaller jig eddie_m....now your on to something dude!
