    whats it going to bring...?? good question but I have an answer if it was like last April. It was 72 on Sunday and snowing Monday....

    That will be a good time to be here when a lot of different fishing options will present themselves. Even the bluegill/redear bite will be gettin going by then. My experience with crappie is that they are easiest to catch during the prespawn and as you move into the actual spawn, the fish become buried in cover and are much harder to get to. What many folks don't realize is that the crappie spawn may last for as long as two months with a definite peak lasting for a few weeks in the middle of that time. So, you will have the option of catching fish that are staging to spawn, fish that are spawning, or fish that are moving back to deep water. it's always good to have options.

    My old man is coming down the last week of march/first week of April, so i'll post a report then.
