Dale Hollow this weekend

Anyone been to Dale Hollow lately? Going down this weekend with my pops to try our luck. Any info would be appreciated. We may try the FnF but also have spinning gear. Is live bait an option this early in the year? If so where can we find some near Celina or Holly Creek?

fished there on Thursday, never had a bite. New to the lake myself so that doesn't help either but not a bad day to be out. fished from the boys camp to back up the wolf river a bit. saw all kinds of shad . warmest water temp we found was 43. water has really cleared alot since last week.

Caught 16 two weeks ago with the float n fly. Most in main lake pockets with 14 foot leader. A few in backs of creeks. Also drug a shiner the last 5 days I was there with 1 bite. I would stick with the fly and keep a long leader. I would only fish points and pockets personally.

Very slow couple of days on Dale. We had eight of us in four boats fishing hard Sat. and Sun. without a fish! We fished the fnf the entire time between 10 and 14 ft deed while drifting two live shiners and not one fish. Fished main lake most and a couple of creeks. There were tons of dead shad everywhere! Water temp was 41-43 and clear water. At least the weather was nice and we still had a great time. May wait a few weeks before heading back.
