As expected, we fished for about 4-5 hours and didn't get a bite. We fishe the Jamestown area and the water was stained. It was a beautiful day to be out, though.
Sorry to hear you didn't hook up with the brown fish. Did you fish early am? Also, water temperature readings?
Luke look at lakecumberland.com . There's a link for water temps.
We fished in the afternoon and the water temps were 41-42 degrees.
I read it verbatim off there site. Unless I'm drunk it said the SLUICE gates were open.
Although I did just check and it has now been changed. Sometimes that link is a bit old and not updated like it should be for current conditions.

I heard of a tournament going out of a mid lake, north marina this Sat...not sure of the name...but it took 17 pounds to win. Sounded like the team that won... was the only double digit weight brought to the scales. Had mostly large mouths, with one big smallie...again; from what I heard.
Fished Cumberland Sat and Sun. Check Greasy, Lilly, Pumpkin, Beaver and Otter. The water in Beaver and Otter is good compared to the rest of the lake. Caught fish both days in Otter Creek. Water temps got up to 47 by the end of the day.

This link shows how much water is being released by both the turbines and the sluice gates. It shows just a small 280 cfs coming from the sluice gates.

According to my log the gates were shut down at 1pm on Wed March 3rd. The outflow went from 6,140 cfs to the 280 cfs that it is at now.
