With some paraphrasing for brevity, here are all 10 questions on the 2010 Census form:

1.How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment or mobile home on April 1, 2010?
2.Were there any additional people staying here April 1, 2010 that you did not include in Question 1?
3.Is this house, apartment or mobile home owned by you or someone in the house with a mortgage? Owned free and clear? Rented? Occupied without payment of rent?
4.What is your telephone number (number to call if an answer is unclear)?
5.Names of the individuals living in the home.
6.Sex of the individual inhabitants of the home.
7.Ages and dates of birth of the individual inhabitants of the home.
8.Are any the individuals living in the home of Hispanic, Latino or Spanish origin?
9.The race of the individual inhabitants of the home.
10.Do any of the individuals live or stay somewhere else?

I will answer questions 1 and 2 and maybe #10. All other questions I will refuse to answer.

Question #9 is especially offensive to me. It's none of your **** business what race I am unless I can answer American Citizen as my race.

Did they say anything about having to tell the truth....get creative. "452 people live here sometimes, and I have a 142 page spreadsheet that shows who was here and when....you got time to look at it? "

If you refuse to answer a question you can be fined something like $100.00

If you falsely answer, the fine goes up to $100,000.00 per violation.

I think I'll just refuse to answer. By the way, only one person has ever been tried in a court of law for failure to answer a census bureau question. I read this just recently and forget the exact facts, but he was found guilty, fined $1.00 and sentenced to one day in jail,sentence suspended.

It's just the threat of jail or being fined that intimidates the populous.

I have been thinking about setting off the security system alarm when the census taker rings my doorbell. lol

What kind of answers do you expect to get at houses of prostitution? How are you going to round up homeless people to get their information? How do you handle forms at homes where they can't read and write? Can I answer the questions in sign language? On the question where they ask my race, can I answer "Heinz 57?" What will you do if you have to take census at Ugly Cheryl's house and she answers the door dressed in her usual attire...naked?

Why do they need to know if people have a mortgage on their houses (I don't)? I haven't read anything that said the government will make their payments for them. I know you will enjoy your new job; you may want to practice "Duck and run." lol

A: Well, if they are full time residents, they will be counted. If they rent, they will be counted. If they are only visiting, then they will be counted at their permanent home address. Please provide me a list of all such establishments and I'll be sure to volunteer to survey those locations and report back to you. Dangerous job, someone HAS to do it.

Q: How are you going to round up homeless people to get their information?
A: Census folks literally will be checking homeless shelters, and alleys, and under the overpasses. I'd recommend people not become homeless to avoid answering the Census. (See US Constitution Article 1 Part 2, and USC Title 13)

Q: How do you handle forms at homes where they can't read and write?
A: We ask the questions, and write down their responses, or ask if another family member is available to do so for them.

Q: Can I answer the questions in sign language?
A: Yes, in fact, the Census even has a Census form totally in braile. Can you imaging someone responding in Chinese sign language? That might take a little time to figure out.

Q: On the question where they ask my race, can I answer "Heinz 57?"
A: Yes, so long as that is true, and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

A: We ask the questions more quickly than at the location in question 1.

A: I agree the government won't make your house payment. They want to know as it is indicative at state and federal levels as to how much money should be allocated to things like home mortgage programs and incentives, as well as to home building grants and low interest builders loans.

Q:I know you will enjoy your new job; you may want to practice "Duck and run."
A: I have been married for 29 years. That experience qualified me for the "duck and run" questions on the eligibility test.

But other than that, how are we doing?

I never met one of these folks. If they ask me what race I'm gonna say Black/Hispanic/German/Asian and American Indian.

I'm with you on this one. I will answer 1, 2, and 10. And yes, #9 is very offensive to me as well.

The way I see it, question #1 is the only one the Constitution authorizes them to ask.

I guess you all have probably seen the census web site. They talk about "protection of information," then say it's illegal to misuse the information. Duh, we know it's illegal, but that doesn't mean it's well protected. Just like the dude says on the video, it's probably not wise to give them any information you wouldn't give to a stranger.
