Spent all day on the water yesterday and the water temps are coming up pretty quick. Didn't have a ton of luck catching fish. My partner and I caught 8. Most on main lake and secondary points on jerkbaits, crankbaits (lipless and bandits), and one jig fish. Didn't make it too far down from the dam on North KY. The crappie guys were out in full force yesterday. We saw one boat pull up close to 10 in about as many minutes. Him and his wife said they had got one limit in a little more than an hour, and had been working on the second for a few hours. Of course they had about 12 rods out. I wish I knew how to get into to crappie like that, but everytime I crappie fish, it only lasts for about an hour until I have to get the bass stuff out. Found water as warm as 49 in the back of bays, and 45 - 47 most everywhere else. The near forecast is for more warm weather in the 60's - so things should start to get interesting pretty soon here (next few days). I think I am feeling a little ill, and may have to take a couple of sick days from work and let nature and the water heal me!!! I can't wait for the time change so I can hit the water after work for a couple of hours.
