Doug, this is good news, and I know how much it means to you not to have to go through any cardiac procedure. Normally I do not say much to people who smoke any more because through 40 years of working with people who have destroyed their health by smoking, I have found people who have an addictive nature, never stop smoking until they want to no matter what anyone says. I tried to get my father to quit smoking for 30 years to no avail, but when he got the word he had lung cancer, he stopped immediately. So you tell me what was up with that? I do agree that stopping an addictive habit is very difficult, but there are ways to do it through drugs, support groups and educational programs. Its my openion that one who wants to quit smoking must realize how much good health means to them and to their love ones and just do the right thing and quit whatever it takes to do so. My father taught me how to fish at 4 years old. He was my best friend. He was my fishing buddy and a great fisherman. He died twenty years to soon, and I have missed every fishing day in those twenty years that I should have spent on the water with him. So all you fathers and husbands and wives who have children please understand you mean the world to your children. Stop selling yourself short. Take care of the health God gave you and start living life to the fullest in the best health possible. I hear it every day I come to work... "I wish I had taken better care of myself." I have been in the cardiopulmonary field for 40 years, so I have seen some very sad cases...believe me. Good health and good fishing everyone.

Doug, Glad to hear all is good with the health. Prayers were definately answered, but they go answered with conditions. God isn't cheap. Quit smoking! Or he'll come getcha WAY before your time. It's happened to alot of people I know and love. It ***** for those you leave behind. You have to make the decision for yourself, for selfish reasons. Everyone can chime in, but it does no good unless you decide for yourself. LOL....your prolly out on the river as we sit and write about trying to get you to quit.
